We worked with many stars during our summers in Jersey at The West Park Pavillion 1966/67 (which has now been demolished) and later at The Hotel-De-France 1973/74 with the summer seasons 1968-1972 at the Marine Spa Torquay, Devon (sadly also demolished);- Michael Bentine, Paul Daniels, Roy Castle, Englebert Humperdink, Lonnie Donegan, Yana, Des O'conner, Bert Weeden, Kenny Ball, Acker Bilk, Adge Cutler & The Wurzels and our own Sally & the Alley Cats to name a few.

The winters were spent touring Switzerland, Denmark & Sweden, Italy, West Berlin, Stuttgart, Wiesbaden, Frankfurt, Fulda, Munchen, Bremen and many more places abroad with a special tour of East Germany before the wall came down.

From 1975 onwards saw us working more in England with some great English summer seasons at Ladbrokes, Caister-on sea, and for Warners, at Hayling Island, Alderney and Majorca, and then Cabaret tours of the English clubs during the winter months. Marty Wilde, Billy Fury, Freddie and the Dreamers, Roy Hudd, Mike Reid, The Baron Knights, Carol-Lee-Scott, Frank Carson, Bernie Clifton, Jim Davidson, Tommy Cooper are just a few more stars we worked with during this period.

We went back to the Isle of Man for a special dinner/dance charity event in which Princess Anne was attending. She took a double glance when she first came on stage as nobody told her it was an all girls band providing the music; she stayed on for the dancing longer than was expected and she seemed to have a ball, I know we did.

We also made many T.V. appearances in Germany and England with Ivy's own 'This is Your Life' programme being a real surprise.

The last gig I played with Ivy was the last one she played with her own band at the Barbican in London at an awards dinner, with Frankie Howard and Diana Dors as guests presenting the awards in the winter of 1983.

I made many lifelong friends with my life with the band and it is a joy when Christmas approaches, as it's the time of year we always make contact and catch up on the latest news.
