In 1953 Lena left Ivy and joined Gracie Coles Band; in 1956 she set up her own small group
within the Band as the "Lena Kidd Quartet" (above) later to be the "Lena Kidd Seven".
She toured Europe with her band until the mid 1960's at which time she disbanded and retired;
in 1970 she married and settled in Scotland.
