"It was very safe place, they had the policy that if anyone misbehaved they were flogged and sent off the island, so nobody misbehaved - nobody bothered to lock the doors or cars or anything. It was a bit like going home because we all knew the staff at the Villa Marina.

We were there the longest because we used to go early in the season for the TT Races and we'd still be there when all the other bands had left."
