Overseas Tours Soon after the end of Second World War, Ivy and the Girls were invited to go to Berlin by Field Marshall Montgomery to play at various venues for the Allied Troops in Germany; he thought his tired soldiers might enjoy the visit; they certainly did - and this tour was the first of many visits to Europe, the Middle East and North Africa where they entertained both UK and American servicemen. GI's in South Vietnam; 8 week tourof the Far East from Dec 10 - tour
cancelled. We know that many
repeat visits were made to Germany, but we believe that tours of Italy,
the Middle East, Switzerland and others were made.
